Hello Community,
I currently have the problem that I cannot open documents that
I receive from a supplier with Adobe Acrobat Reader DC.
Error 14 and "Dict object is expected" then appear.
But I can open the document in Edge or Firefox.
If I then print the document as a PDF, I can open it again with Adobe Acrobat Reader.
Can someone help me why this happens and what I can do so that
I don't have to open the documents in a browser first.
Adobe Acrobat Reader DC is up to date. Version 2023.003.20201 64Bit

Please let us know if the issue occurs with every PDF or PDF from a particular source.
Would you mind sharing a sample PDF that does not open? We will try to replicate the behavior on our end.
Share the screenshot of the error messages. It would be helpful if you could share the screen recording.
Also, share the OS version on the machine.

Many thanks for the answer. The problem only occurs with a PDF from a specific source.
The requested screenshots are attached.
I would be reluctant to share a PDF because the PDF contains sensitive customer data.
If there is no other way to fix the problem, I will send you a PDF.

Sorry about the delay in response.
As the issue occurs with the PDFs from a specific source, we would need to check the PDFs.
If possible, share the sample PDF with us. You may share the PDF via private message. You may initiate a private message using the envelope icon at the top right corner of this community page.
