Hello Community and Adobe-Support,

we has searched through the forum database and different other forums out of the web to find the common solution about the different 3D render results in our 3D PDF.

Some Backround information first:

In our company the adobe Reader DC 2020.006.20034 is roll out to all CAD workstation as well to the ordinary workstation of our Project Manager (non-CAD Workstations).

Our IT is Dell based PCs like the models/series  Precision and Latitude.

So since November we are step by step rolling out also in to Win10.

What we found out now is, that with the same Adobe Reader DC Version and Installationpackage the client machine show a different 3D PDF result.

Under Windows 7 the same 3D PDF looks fine as it should and the same 3D PDF shows under Win10 (1903) an render result like having to much lights on or something else.

The Adobe Reader DC settings on the Win7 and Win10 are equal set up.

We try out as well some hints from the forum like settings in the Security (enhanced) (like disableing the protection mode etc.) or set up the nvidia grafic application manager  and some other tips from the web and forum, but nothing did help us here till now.

Have some one also the same issue like us ?

Please look the 2 pictures below.

thanks in advance !

This is the result under Win10:

This is the result und Windows 7 how it should look like:2020-04-15 18_33_07-Window.png

Hello everyone,

finally we found the solution about this different view/rendering quality issue.

It's necessary to unselect all settings inside the Security (enhanced) page, as well if the PDF is listet in the trusted list, they need to be removed in the list.

I dont know why this rendering quality is issued by the security settings.....is it like it is.
Dear Adobe please check/proof once more if could also have the same rendering quality as well the security settings is active. it make no sense to

Hello Adobe-Support,

we have tested now on Windows 10 machines with an older Reader version....with Acrobat Reader XI.
With Reader XI the 3D rendering shows the same good result like Windows 7 with Reader DC.

Looks like that the version of Reader DC under Windows 10 (1903, 1809, 1803) have an issue with the 3d render engine.

Our Problem now is our IT rules, they do not  allow to install older reader version.
So this workaround will be not been accepeted by our IT rules....or let me say only allowed for a limited time and users.

Hope this  additional info helps to find the solution (or the bug 😉 )

best regards,

Nuno

Sorry for the english community, screenshot is done on a German based desktop.
