Different file name

I've just saved a Word document as a pdf. The file name is the same as the Word document, but when I open the pdf in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC it has a file name showing along the very top of the screen and in the tab at the top of the screen which is completely different. In fact this file name is the first line of an address of a girlfriend I had 17 years ago! Can anyone tell me what's happening?

Hi Benjamin,

++ Adding to the discussion.

A new document preference is added to let you use the filename as the document title. By default, the preference is disabled. To enable the preference, go to Acrobat preferences, and click Documents in the left pane. Under Open Settings, select Always Use Filename As Document Title.

For more information, please look at the help page https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/whats-new.html#Optiontousefilenameasdocumenttitle

Amal

Thanks Bernd. I've since realised it's a Word 97 - 2003 document. I checked it's properties and that strange file name was indeed the 'Title' of the file under 'Details'. So I've changed that to be the same as the file name and it's now fine when I save it as a pdf.
