Digital signature file size

When digitally signing file the size ballons from a few hundred kb to thousands of mb.

I have unchecked the box in preferences/ Signature/ include signature's revocation status. 

The signed file still ballons to thousands of mb. Any other way to reduce file size?

As mentioned that file size increases after putting the digital signature on a PDF. 

Would you mind sharing a few more details to understand the issue better?

1.  Is it happening with all PDFs or with a specific PDF?
2. OS name and version?
3. Application version?

Make sure that the app is updated to the latest version.

Thousands of mb? You mean gigabytes?  A few megabytes is normal.
