Hi all.

Our firm have just updated from version 18.0.11.20058 to version 19.0.11.20071 - but now have the issue that protected mode is not disabled when using the standard method of changing the following registry SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Policies\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\DC\FeatureLockDown\bProtectedMode=0

can someone please help?

    Hello Simono,

It's a good idea and recommended workflow to leave Protected Mode enabled. It should be transparent to users and not impact any workflows.

For detailed information, you may refer to  Protected mode in Acrobat Reader (Windows) https://helpx.adobe.com/reader/11/using/protected-mode-windows.html

For the alternative, please refer to the following Adobe articles to disable the protected mode:

    Protected Mode

Sandbox Protections — Acrobat Application Security Guide

Let us know how it goes and share your observation.

    Thanks,

    Anand Sri.
