Disabling automatic updates Mac OS 13.2.1

Is there any way to do this?  I hate not having control of WHEN an update gets installed.  If this is not possible, it SHOULD BE.

Hope you are doing well. and we apologize for the delay in response. 

By default, Adobe Reader is set to install the automatic update. There's no inbuilt setting that would allow disabling the auto-update, neither its recommended officially.
