Display bug in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC

New Here ,
Feb 08, 2018 Feb 08, 2018

Whenever I scroll, I get the following error where the same line gets repeated many times. Also, when I go to the next page of a document using the right arrow, the page is blank. Both of these problems go away if I simply click the screen, but they are unwelcome regardless. Any idea of how to fix it?Adobe Glitch.png

Next, I used AdobeAcroCleaner_DC2015 again and reinstalled the latest Acrobat Reader DC, but it did fix the problems.

Not sure if the installation is different or the installer is different this time, because this time I had to download AcroRdrDC1801120055_en_US.exe and when installing, it did not ask me to install McAfee antivirus.

Hello vijayramanujan

We apologize for the inconvenience caused, as per the description above, you are getting repeated lines in PDF page when you scroll it, Is that correct?

Please check for any pending updates of Adobe Reader DC from Help>Check for updates, reboot the machine after the installation of any updates. You can also repair the installation files of Adobe Reader from Help>Repair installation. Reboot the machine and see if this brings any difference.

Try resetting the preferences of Adobe Reader, to reset preferences refer to How to reset Acrobat Preference settings to default. Link: https://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-8511

Reboot the machine and check the PDF file.

If the issue persists, please share the following details:

Let us know how it goes and share your findings.

Regards,

Anand Sri.

When I go to the next page of a document using the right arrow, the first page is displayed or the page is blank.

When I scroll, I get the same error as vijayramanujan where the same line gets repeated many times or the last row of pixels gets repeated many times.

Both of these problems go away if I simply click the screen.

I tried to fix by changing the preferences for different resolution, rendering, page content, show online storage, enable enhanced security settings, but it did not fix problems.

Then, I used AdobeAcroCleaner_DC2015 and reinstalled the latest Acrobat Reader DC, but it did not fix problems.
