Document cannot be printed, No Pages Selected to Print

New Here ,
Feb 14, 2017 Feb 14, 2017

I have may PDFs fon an Italian government agency.
Property of file tell me that they are in version Acrobat 1.6 made with iText 2.1.8

Documents are secured but print is permitted.

I'm using latest Acrobat DC in Windows 10.

If I print this document in a printer with postscript driver i get the error "Document cannot be printed, No Pages Selected to Print" (drivers are last Xerox GPD and HP UPD). Using a non postriscrt driver I don't have this problem. I can print using "Print as image" but the spooling is very slow. This isn't an one-shot print job so I have to find why Acrobad have this issue and fix it to print in postcript driver without print as image, or understand where is the error in the PDF to be able to submit a ticket to the PDFs owner.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Hi ZioTibia81,

Please try the repair installation of the application and try the printing again.

Also, please confirm if its happening with a particular document or all and for testing purpose try disabling the Protected mode from Edit>Preferences> Security(Enhanced), under Sandbox options.

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks,

Supriya

Hi!
Repair application didn't solve (and this issue is in about 10 PCs).
The issue is happening for all Secured PDFs from this government agency printed on postrscipt printer.

Protected mode is already disabled.

ZioTibia81,

Please try the steps mentioned in the link below and see if it works.

Also, try uninstalling and reinstalling the application using Adobe cleaner tool.

You may refer to the link below for the same:

Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs

Let me know if it works.

Thanks,

Supriya

Nothing changes. I used cleaner tool and reinstalled. Same issue.

I've made test on Acrobat Reade Dc on Windows 10 and Adobe Reader XI on Windows XP. Same issue.

Only using postscript drivers, no problem uing PCL or GDI driver.

LATEST

I've uninstalled Adobe, and reinstalled Adobe, I've updated my printers drivers and the firmware, to no avail.

It was working fine, until I updated Adobe, so it seems clear, the update caused the problem.  Adobe doesn't seem to care, because I have seen many many complaints about this problem and no solution.

I do have a work-around, go to https://www.libreoffice.org/  and download libreoffice, it's free office software and open any PDF or other Document and it prints fine.  Not sure why Adobe doesn't care....
