allo,
seit einer Woche sind meine download Dokumente nicht mehr lesbar. Das heißt
das Dokument geht auf, aber die Schrift ist unleserlich.
Ältere Dokumente, die lesbar waren, kann ich nun auch nicht mehr lesen.
Eigene Dokumente, z.B. Scan oder umgewandelte Word Dokumente sind
einwandfrei.
Was kann ich tun?

Sorry to say that, its not quite clear what exactly is going on? When you say that documents are suddenly unreadable, so does that means the document's text is garbled or its not showing the actual character?
What was the workflow that you have followed? And using which application?
Are you opening it in Adobe Reader DC?
Help us with more information or a screenshot of the document that you are referring above.

Hello Akanchha,
thank you for your message. I get my mobile bill monthly with a mail as a
PDF attachment. I load this attachment on my hard drive. That always
worked. Now
this download is unreadable and even documents that were ok are now
affected. I am sending a document which was legible and the latest.
Dokument "Telekom81" was readable before. Files that I have converted to
PDF and scanned documents are not affected. See attached Dokument
"Meldebescheinigung". I hope you can help me.

I sincerely apologize for the delay in response to your messages.
Unfortunately, I couldn't find any attachment to test at my end. Did you email it to me or attached to the thread?
You may see your private message where I have shared my email address.
Also, you have mentioned that the document that you have converted as pdf or the scanned one's are fine. So the problematic files you have received are the pdf files or any other format?

Guten Tag. Ich habe seit ein paar Wochen genau dasselbe Problem auf dem Laptop. Es betrifft interessanterweise nur die pdf's von einem bestimmten Unternehmen. Alle lokal abgespeicherten Dokumente, Anhänge in deren Mails sowie die Online vefügbaren sind betroffen. Wenn ich die Anhänge im Mail auf dem Handy anschaue, kommt der Inhalt korrekt. Liegt das eventuell an einem Update des Browsers oder von Adobe?
Hier ein ausschnitt eines betroffenen Dokuments:
Ich nutze Firefox 57.0 (64 Bit) und Adobe Reader 2018.009.20044
Besten Dank im Voraus für Hilfe.

Hello Akanchha, I probably sent the attachment to the forum, which does not
work. Please write me your direct email address, then I will send you this
again. There's a hurry because my accounting department urgently needs a
document. The problem is only with PDF

Hi Christian,
Checked all the documents that you have sent to us. And each and every document opened absolutely fine at our end.
Try the solution shared by the BerndAlheit as there is a fix in the latest patch released-Acrobat Help | Release notes | Acrobat DC and Acrobat Reader DC | Update

Hello Akanchha.
that does not work unfortunately. I click on the link and save the file. There
is a message that the patch package could not be opened because it is not a
valid Windows Installer patch package.

I have already done that and the update has worked well.
Then I rebooted and downloaded the documents again. problem
persists

From where are you downloading the documents? And what about the one already there downloaded?
Try this-
Launch Acrobat Reader >Help> "Repair Installation" >Reboot and check back.

These are invoices from Deutsche Telekom.
Older bills are partially OK, but some are not.
Under> Help> I have no "Repair Installation"> sorry
