Download stop/fail Adobe Reader

I've tried to download Adobe Reader 4x this morning. The download gets to around 70% complete and then fails/stops. Says there is newer version of Adobe already installed. I've searched the computer and flash player is the only thing that shows up. Any ideas? I've tried different versions as laptop is running windows 7.

From where? That would be a mighty old version.

Where exactly did you look?

Were you having an issue that prompted you to install Adobe Reader? Maybe you do already have it but if we know why you are trying to download it, we may be able to give you a solution.
