All of a sudden I am not able to edit a pdf doc! Why after clicking edit pdf am I not able to go and delete text?

Impossible to say without further information. What program and OS (with versions)?

You've posted in the Reader forum. The free Reader cannot edit text, you do need Adobe Acrobat Pro or Standard for that.
