Reader can't edit PDF files, unless you want to fill in form fields, add comments or sign it. That's all it can do, pretty much.

Yes, you the full version of Acrobat DC lets you edit files, just not the free Reader.

You can download a trial version of Acrobat DC for 7 days. The paid version of Acrobat lets you edit PDFs (most of the time). You will find that some PDFs have security and others are scanned images and others were made with bad settings and are not very easy to edit.

If Acrobat DC works for you, you can subscribe by the month OR annual, paid monthly, OR annual prepaid.

I have a Mac computer. I want to edit a file I purchased for my school children. I was told I need Adobe Reader to edit this or add text to it. What product do I need? I'm not computer savey.
