Some weeks ago Acrobat Reader DC started behaving erratically on my Windows 10 PC.

I have a the latest versions of Acrobat Reader DC and Windows 10 installed.

What happens is quite reproducible: Acrobat Reader DC works OK when I restart the PC, but after opening a few PDF files by double-clicking on them, some kind of corruption seems to occur in Acrobat Reader DC, as evidenced by the fact that PDF files no longer open, and the Acrobat Reader DC start menu icon is replaced by a generic 'unknown application' icon.

Repairing the Acrobat Reader DC installation doesn't help. Functionality is restored when I reboot the PC, but the mysterious corruption cycle starts again after opening a few PDF files.

I have every confidence that there is a simple solution, thank you 🙂👍
