After installing adobe reader dc, it gives me "The application was unable to start correctly (0x0000022). Click OK to close the application. When I click OK, the error window closes and I can continue looking at the file. I installed it twice. The first time I tried to stop the download of the McAfee Scan, and then uninstalled both the Adobe Reader and the McAfee software. I am running Windows 10 on an HP Envy24-n014.

Hi Carlenen49657447,

Please try running the application as an administrator and follow the steps below for the same:

  • Change the "compatibility" property of the EXE files by right clicking the EXE and select Propertoes>Compatibility
  • Select "Run this program as an administrator"
  • If you want the change to affect all users, select the "Change settings for all users" below.

This should work if all users have admin account.

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks,

Supriya

Yes, it doesn't show the error message. However, the computer asks if I want to allow the application to change my computer every time that I run the program. Can I make that stop?

I think that it is Norton Security software asking the question.
