New Here ,
Oct 18, 2017 Oct 18, 2017

I get this error whenever I open a pdf with Adobe Reader DC,.  Sometimes the file opens and other times it flashes open and closes quickly.  The files that open I am unable to print them.

I followed the instructions I saw to check permissions with no change, I deleted and re-downloaded it and still getting the error message

Hi Churchpainter,

Thanks for sharing the troubleshooting steps you followed. As you have already checked the permission and uninstalled-reinstalled the application.

In that case you may refer to the help document Application unable to Start correctly Error: 0xc0000022 || 0x00000022  and follow the troubleshooting steps suggested in that.

Let us know if it still doesn't work.

Regards,

Akanchha

Hi Lee,

I apologize for the delay in response.

I assume that you have followed all the steps recommended in the help document shared above?

Run the repair for the of Microsoft visual C++ 2013 Redistributable(x64&x86) and try again.

         - To repair: Go to > Control Panel > All Control Panel Items > Programs and Features > Visual C++ Redistributable 2013 (right click and repair)

As its still not working, so you may create a hidden administrator account on computer and check in that.

Regards,

Akanchha

As it worked for a while and again started giving the same error, then you may check it in the hidden admin account.

Enable Built-in Administrator Account in Windows

  1. First you’ll need to open a command prompt in administrator mode by right-clicking and choosing “Run as administrator” (or use the Ctrl+Shift+Enter shortcut from the search box).

Note that this works the same in all versions of Windows. Just search for cmd and then right-click on the command prompt icon in the Start menu or Start screen.

If you are in Windows 8.x or 10 you can right-click on the Start button and choose to open a command prompt that way.

2- Now type the following command:-

3-You should see a message that the command completed successfully. Log out, and you’ll now see the Administrator account as a choice. (Note that this screenshot is from Vista, but this works on Windows 7 and Windows 8 and Windows 10)

You’ll note that there’s no password for this account, so if you want to leave it enabled you should change the password.

Disable Built-in Administrator Account

Make sure you are logged on as your regular user account, and then open an administrator mode command prompt as above. Type the following command:

net user administrator /active:no

Thanks for your reply. I had an outside IT person come in and work on it for me since we don’t have a On Staff person.

So far he has it working!

Thanks for your time, nice to know there is help out there!!
