Hello,
I hope you're doing well, and we apologize for the delayed response and the trouble.
Have you tried using the latest version of the app to see if the error still occurs? Does this happen with a specific PDF, or do you encounter the issue when exporting all PDFs? Please update to the latest version by going to Menu > Check for Updates, installing any available updates, restarting your machine, and then trying to export the PDF to Word using Acrobat Reader.
If the issue persists, use the Acrobat Cleaner Tool to remove the app, restart your machine, and then reinstall Acrobat Reader.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks,
Anand Sri.

Yes, downloaded the latest version. Also tried uninstalling and reinstalling but neither of those options worked.

Hello @Nordia_Simone
I hope you are doing well, and we apologize for the delayed response and the trouble.
Could you please share more details about the issue? Are you on a Mac or Windows machine, and what is the version? Are you using the freeware Acrobat Reader desktop app or the paid version of Acrobat Pro?
Is it happening with one specific PDF or with all the PDFs? Try exporting the PDF using the Acrobat online services, and see if you get the same error message: https://adobe.ly/3ZBYGYU
We verified your Adobe ID (email) and see that you have an active subscription to Acrobat Pro. Run Acrobat as an Administrator. Right-click the Acrobat shortcut and choose Run as administrator. This can help if system permissions are blocking the installation or activation process.
Temporarily Disable Antivirus or Firewall. Some security software may block Acrobat from completing the service activation. Try disabling it briefly to test if the Export tool initializes properly.
For testing purposes, create a new test user profile with full admin rights, and try exporting the PDF. Ensure you have the latest version of Acrobat installed on the machine: 25.001.20531 (Win) | 25.001.20529 (Mac), planned update June 10, 2025.
If the issue continues, please provide the following information: the current version of the operating system on your device and the logs from the affected machine. To collect the logs, download and run the Log Collector tool. Make sure to select all log options and attempt to reproduce the issue. After that, close the Log Collector tool; it will generate the logs along with a log ID. Please share this log ID with us for further investigation.
Thanks,
Anand Sri.
