Error: "There was an error while reading this Stream" - how can i fix this?

When opening a pdf file, experienced the following: Error while opening this stream.

My IT team and I tried to reinstall the program, repair the installation, and even did a system restore. Nothing seemed to help.

We tried to do "open with"  and it said we may not have permission to open the file, but it is a file we created.

We have the pro version of reader and the regular version .

Any help would be much appreciated!

I'm having the same problem. Every few minutes this message pops up which is very annoying because it stops me from scrolling.

Search and try to look for solution for Adobe Acrobat Reader DC "There was an error while reading a stream" .

Look like this problem have not solved since 2016, I have 2 pdf files that having this problem with file open with this error and some pages display blank.

I tried open the files with all other PDF viewers with no problem (Foxit Reader, SumatraPDF, Nitro Pro, Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome). Disappointed to see this problem have not solved since long time ago.

I was faced with the same issue.

The PDF can be oppened with a web browser.
