Exporting a PDF to Excel

I bought my laptop lately and noticed all my PDF documents open with the browser only and any attempt to download and install Adobe Reader is unsuccessful. This is because I have to convert a pdf document to excel so i can work on it but I am unable to do it in the browser (Microsoft Edge or Chrome).

Windows 10 I assume? And the browser being Edge? Microsoft wants you to use Edge which uses it's own pdf viewer (so does Chrome) but you'll want to download the pdf and open in Reader if at all possible.

How so. Can you give us the seps you take to download and install and let us know exactly what happens please?
