Fields not filled when opening in Adobe

Hello,

I have an unusal situation.  ONe of my coworkers has a form that is filled out.  When he received it, he sees in Outlook's preview it is fully filled out but when he opens it in Adobe, the fields are blank.  They forwarded the email with the attached file and I too can see the filled in areas in Preview but when I open it on my computer, they are blank as well.  

I then on a hunch downloaded the file and right clicked on the file and chose Open with and clicked on Edge.  The fields did appear filled in Edge so it is something with Adobe that isn't seeing the filled fields.   Any suggestions?

Preview is a very buggy application that corrupts PDF form fields just by opening the file. You should avoid using it, if at all possible.
