Fill & Sign text is white

Sometime in the past couple months the Fill & Sign text color changed to white...which makes it useless for filling in forms on white background. I've searched the community and everything says the color of the Fill & Sign font cannot be changed.

I had to uninstall version 2019.021.20061 and reinstall an older version (.20058) to be able to use Fill & Sign again.

Anybody else? Since I didn't find any Community topics where someone else mentioned it, maybe it was just a quirk of my PC/system or a bad install. Certainly it could not have been intended...

Thanks

Hi all,

another frustrated user here with the same problem. Even after clicking the dots on the Fill & Sign panel, I didn't have the option to show all labels. What I noticed was when I closed the tool bar and reselected Fill & Sign from the All Tools menu, there was a small white circle with a faint grey outline towards the bottom of the toolbar. Unless you knew what this was, you may miss it. Click on that circle and you're able to change the colour of the text. I hope this helps.

Yes, I have white font problems right now. I did the cleaner and it did not work. I guess I need to uninstall like you did.

Yes you can change colours in Fill and Sign. Right hand click on the Fill and Sign bar and select "Show all Lables", the change colour option then appears.

This would be a great fix only my right click does not show an option for "Show all Labels" or any other text editing tools". How can others have this option and I do not? I am running the most current version.

Hey there,

The information you have gathered is correct. Fill & Sign font has a default black color and there's no option to change it. Edit feature in Acrobat lets you select the font color, but Fill & Sign would revert to black only.

You might required to run the cleaner tool http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html  to remove the existing version and reload it.

Thanks,

I appreciate that you took the time to respond. I was really just wondering if anyone else had a similar experience since it was contrary to the "Fill & Sign text is black" rule. As stated in the original post, I'd already worked around the problem by uninstalling and installing an older version. Since then, I have upgraded back to the current version and the Fill & Sign text is black, as it should be. I suspect that uninstalling and reinstalling the current version would have also been fine. Maybe the cleaner tool would have worked, too, but it's unclear why I would want to download a cleaner tool program to remove an existing version when simply uninstalling it does that.
