Sometime in the past couple months the Fill & Sign text color changed to white...which makes it useless for filling in forms on white background. I've searched the community and everything says the color of the Fill & Sign font cannot be changed.
I had to uninstall version 2019.021.20061 and reinstall an older version (.20058) to be able to use Fill & Sign again.
Anybody else? Since I didn't find any Community topics where someone else mentioned it, maybe it was just a quirk of my PC/system or a bad install. Certainly it could not have been intended...
Thanks

I had the same problem and finally figured it out.
Right click on the dot icon, which will get you to the show all labels function. Then you can change the font to any color you like.
It worked. Thanks so much.

Hey there,
The information you have gathered is correct. Fill & Sign font has a default black color and there's no option to change it. Edit feature in Acrobat lets you select the font color, but Fill & Sign would revert to black only.
You might required to run the cleaner tool http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html to remove the existing version and reload it.
Thanks,

I appreciate that you took the time to respond. I was really just wondering if anyone else had a similar experience since it was contrary to the "Fill & Sign text is black" rule. As stated in the original post, I'd already worked around the problem by uninstalling and installing an older version. Since then, I have upgraded back to the current version and the Fill & Sign text is black, as it should be. I suspect that uninstalling and reinstalling the current version would have also been fine. Maybe the cleaner tool would have worked, too, but it's unclear why I would want to download a cleaner tool program to remove an existing version when simply uninstalling it does that.

The link Akanchha does not work so apparantly no help at all was provided and NO the default text is NOT black in Sign & Text. Mine is ALSO WHITE so HOW could that be possible if there's NO EDITING and it's supposedly default black???

I have the same issue in here, all the text under 'Fill & Sign' are white. I have to go to 'edit PDF' to add text .... When I first bought the subscription last year all were fine... only lately have found it so complicated on commands to get one form fill up and strangely some letters (e.g. v or y) are missing when printed out ! I hope there is updates regularly to solve this issue. I have to pay every month on the subscription : ((( Any other applications in the market can replace adobe I would like to know...

After creating a report, saving, then opening the next day, random characters are white! Not missing, just white. I agree, Rebecca. Very frustrating for something as "famous" and costly as Adobe Acrobat to not work correctly, especially when using it for business as I am. I've been searching for alternatives to create custom reports and have documents signed.
Fix this, Adobe!!

Yes, I have white font problems right now. I did the cleaner and it did not work. I guess I need to uninstall like you did.

Yes you can change colours in Fill and Sign. Right hand click on the Fill and Sign bar and select "Show all Lables", the change colour option then appears.

This would be a great fix only my right click does not show an option for "Show all Labels" or any other text editing tools". How can others have this option and I do not? I am running the most current version.

Older reply but YOUR responce was exactly what worked for me. I have a free version and was trying to white out a "mistake" text and hit that little dot icon. But then forgot what I did or who knows??? I searched and did this that and finally THIS works. GADDS - a simple form all done and uploaded again and nothing worked.
Thanks GREATLY.

It's actually necessary click on the "Ab" icon (with the regular Left mouse button, not the right), and then once the menu bar expands to include words for each option, one of them should be "Change color" and there will be a white circle next to it. Click the white circle itself to bring up the color palette to change it back to Black.
Why it changes itself to white, which is going to be a generally useless color, I have no idea. It was pretty infurating to have to mess with this while filling out forms.

I thought I was having the same issue, however, it was a text field in the original PDF. Whenever I would add a text box into that during fill and sign, it would 'send to back' so I couldn't see the text. I had to remove these text boxes.

I searched for 2 hours why I could no longer change the color of the text added via "Fill and Sign" by clicking on the Dot button :
The solution ? In the "Display" menu, "Show/Hide" , if the "button label" is checked, the color panel is only displayed if the application screen is enlarged enough in width !! So simply complicated! Adobe please correct this !
So, you must either enlarge the page in width or uncheck the "button label" choice.
To prevent others from having trouble as much as me;)
Cordially.
