Fill n Sign is greyed out for protected pdf file - Acrobat PRO trial version

I have a protected PDF file with unlocked form editing and signing (lock sign -> security info). Editing is allowed, while signing is blocked and grayed out (although it works for unprotected PDFs). I am using the Adobe Reader Pro trial version.

Please confirm if form fields have been added to the PDF form. If yes, that could be the reason the Fill & Sign tools are greyed out. Try to click on the form fields and enter text. For more information, refer to the following help document: https://adobe.ly/3R9qGyI. 

If that is not the case, share the PDF with us. We will check it on our end.
