Question

Forced to upgrade?

Hello.

I am doing a course where I was required to download Adobe Acrobat to edit PDFs. I was told by the course leaders (and the course material itself) that the app should allow me to edit PDFs without any upgrades.
However, after downloading it from the link they assured me would give me the free editing programme, I tried writing in a document and I am not allowed to.

I am not allowed to modify anything, and constantly asked to upgrade, despite having been told multiple times it should allow me to edit even with the free version.

I really need this app to work because my course assignments are required to be edited with it.
How can I solve this?

Thank you.

Acrobat is not free. The free software is Acrobat Reader. Acrobat Reader can't edit. It's a pity that your course gave you wrong information.

HOWEVER, I have no idea why you'd want to edit assignments. Do you mean you have to fill in (type in the blanks) in a form - this isn't called editing?
