When I try to open a PDF in adobe acrobat reader I see garbage symbols. When I open the same PDF in XChange editor on the same PC it works fine. This is also the case for my collegaues PC. As some collegaues prefer Adobe I wish to know how to change the Adobe reader settings such that the PDF is diplayed correctly. Can anyone help me?

Two of our users have encountered a similar problem. This is what I've learned about the issue:

I've just noticed that the affected fields appear to be only those in bold type - other template fields display correctly

Hi Axxell,
The normal words i.e., "Product" is also displayed with garbage characteres in Adobe reader. However, in XChange editor the word is readable. Actually not a single word is readable in adobe as the characters are replaced with symbols. Do you have a work around for this issue?

Sorry, no workaround, other than to use a different reader. The document displays correctly in Chrome and Edge. In your example the substitute font appears to be different from the one in our case. For example, the word Date on your document looks like this:
In our example the word date is displayed thus:
I'm probably incorrectly referring to a font issue - it appears to be more a case of a substitute character set.
I'm puzzled by the fact that it's user dependent and also that it appears and disappears intermittently. We've had this problem on and off for over a year now and this is the first time it's persisted for long enough for me to do some serious investigation!
