Hi there people,

I have been trying to successfully print a few documents from pdf files to my printer with no luck ..... heres the problem.. bare with me please as I am not that gemmed up on the correct terminology!!!

I purchased a document in pdf format and wanted to print it out, after printing the first few pages it became clear that I had a problem.  I have whittled it down to the images within the document,  there seems to a a faint grey ghosting on all of the black words and line within the images on the page.  I have tried cleaning the printer no such luck.   I have tried a word document and that's all fine.  I have also tried printing other pdf files down loaded from the internet and again I get this same grey ghosting around the words making everything difficult/impossible to read.

I have tried copying the image and pasting it into word to see it it would print without the ghosting from word but its still unreadable!

I have tried changing the size on printing (fit, original size) but its still the same.

Can anybody help me?  is there anything else let to try?

Below is an example of the ghosting (if that's even the correct terminology)

Thank you in advance for any hints or tips that could help me sort this out!!  I really am hoping a new printer will not be the answer as its all ok with word!!
