Have Adobe Acrobat Reader DC, can't edit files

As the title states, I cannot edit PDF files. The program worked fine for me a few weeks ago, not when I click edit I get a Learn More button. I double checked and I have;

Creative Cloud for individuals - Acrobat Pro DC with Adobe Stock (one-year)‎

I've quit the program, and re-opened. Same issue. I've upgrading to a higher level of Pro, still nothing. What am I missing here?

    Hello chrisc52527142,

    Please note that it is not possible to edit PDF files using Adobe Reader.

    You might need to have Adobe Acrobat software (the same prompt that you are getting for).

    You will need to purchase subscription or license for Acrobat DC to edit PDF files.

    For more details on price & plans, refer: Plans and pricing | Adobe Acrobat DC

    You might try using Acrobat DC version by downloading a 30-day trial version.

    Refer: Download Adobe Acrobat free trial | Acrobat Pro DC

    Let me know if this helps.

    Regards,

    I have the same issue. I am using and have purchased the Adobe Acrobat DC and still can't edit a pdf. I get the exact same message as chrisc.  How much more does someone have to spend. I will NOT upgrade as I have the required Adobe software.

    maryj -

    Use the "Comment" tool under the "Review & Approve" heading.  I was trying to use the "Edit" tool under the "Create & Edit" heading and was not able to edit either.  The comment function will allow you to draw on and use text, among other things.

    I hope this helps.
