Have Adobe Acrobat Reader DC, can't edit files

As the title states, I cannot edit PDF files. The program worked fine for me a few weeks ago, not when I click edit I get a Learn More button. I double checked and I have;

Creative Cloud for individuals - Acrobat Pro DC with Adobe Stock (one-year)‎

I've quit the program, and re-opened. Same issue. I've upgrading to a higher level of Pro, still nothing. What am I missing here?

It says Acrobat Reader when I open it in Reader and Acrobat Pro when I open it in my newly downloaded Pro. This came on slowly, being more and more stubborn each time I returned to the document to work on it. Usually, toggling between the blue arrow that is the "selection tool for texts and images" and the little hand next to it that you use to "click and pan around document" corrected it. It became more and more stubborn and is now Froze.

Merry Christmas and thank you!

What do you see? Especially, if you're on Windows, what do it say in the title bar?

I had this same issue, after installing and subscribing to Adobe Acrobat 'DC'; and when trying to set as default app for '.pdf' files.

I uninstalled the original Adobe Acrobat 'Reader XI' that was installed, and this made all '.pdfs' default to opening with the newly installed and subscribed to  Adobe Acrobat 'DC'.

This is my first post, so hope it helps; for i see this is a multi-year long issue/concern!:)

I am still having this issue. I also have a subscription to Adobe Acrobat DC and have used it extensively and after a year of use, TODAY it has decided that it no longer wants to let me edit PDFs! My subscription is still active and nothing has changed.

As someone said in a previous post, for being a long-time Adobe customer, you'd think they would make more of an effort to help us.
