Help! Adobe Acrobat Reader installation stuck at running scripts

Hello, I think I royally screwed up in cleaning up my computer and uninstalling Adobe Acrobat Reader manually from my Mac a while ago, and probably deleted preference files I shouldn't have. Now I'm trying to do a clean reinstall of Adobe Acrobat Reader and the installer is stuck at the running installation scripts phase. Is there anything I can do to fix this? Any guidance would be immensely appreciated, I really have no idea what I did or what I should do now here.

I'm on a Macbook running Big Sur.

Which one, the AcroCleaner? Already did, before even posting here. It only says there's no Adobe application on the computer and then doesn't do anything.
