Help with Radio Buttons

I have a form (not mine) that has several radio button groups.  In one instance, the group contains 34 choices, but is intended to provide Yes or No answers to 17 different questions.  When I select YES for question #1, all okay.  I select NO for question 2 and voila, question 1 is de-selected.  So yeah, you cannot select a choice for more than one question.  Is there any way to change the properties of these "choices" WITHOUT removing the group and adding others?  OR, can these choices be changed so they are not mutually exclusive?  As I said, this form is not mine and I didn't design it, but a "fillable" form should truly by fillable.

That's usually how "radio" buttons work. They force one answer only. The creator of the form probably could have used check boxes instead (hard to say without seeing the form). Unfortunately, you can't do anything about it with the free Reader.

Yes, I do know how radio buttons are supposed to work.  However, whoever created this form apparently did not.  There is nothing wrong with radio buttons, if they are used correctly.  Here is a picture of the form, with the questions deleted:

If the designer had assigned a group to each question, then YES / NO would work for each question.  They, for whatever reason, used a single group for all 17 questions, therefore one could select only one response from the page.  With the input of another user, I found out you can correct this by selecting each button, and assigning it to a different group.  Time consuming, but not near as much as adding all new groups / buttons.

I didn't mean to make it sound like I thought there was something wrong with it. But yes, each of the yes/no options must be in their own group instead of all answers in one group. I guess that's all I was trying to say. That and the fact that you can't change that with the free Reader. You need Acrobat (which I assume you already know).

Ah, yes. The other forum you asked in would be the proper forum wingrider. This forum is for the free Adobe Acrobat Reader which I wrongfully assumed you were using. If I had known you were using Acrobat, this conversation would have taken a different turn.

It's all good.  I definitely appreciate the feedback.  I was having some problem with this site, it wouldn't keep me signed in.  Anytime I tried replying, posting, going to different forum, etc., I made me sign in again.  I think it's working right for the moment.  It took a bit to figure out how to get to the proper forum, but I got the answer I needed.  Thanks all.

Yes. These forums are a little quirky. When posing in the future, be sure to start of by mentioning what app and version of the app you are using to avoid getting incorrect answers. Glad you got it worked out.
