I have posted this as a reply in a different post. However none of the solutions presented in that post have solved my the problem.
I've created a form for work and have been getting this error message sometimes, but not all the time. The form requires three signatures. I've been testing out the form by signing all three spots myself. The second signature spot contains javascript to send an email and make the reset button invisible. The final signature makes everything read only.
Is there a solution to the HFT error message???
I don't know if this will help, but the form will be utilized in the following manner:

Hi N828,
Thank you for reaching out.
Please share the screenshot of the error message you receive. Also, let us know about how you are sending the document.
It would be helpful if you could share the sample PDF with us. We will try to replicate the behavior on our end.
More information about the workflow would be helpful.
You may also try Acrobat Sign (https://helpx.adobe.com/sign/faq.html) and check if that works for you.
Thanks,
Meenakshi

Thank you for following up!
Workflow
1. Officer fills out form
2. Clicks check form button, if all fields are filled the PO signature box will appear (and check form button disappears). If not, error message appears.
3. Officer signs and sends to supervisor
4. Supervisor signs. Once the Supervisor signs a prefilled email will populate.
5. Supervisor sends to the Chief.
6. Chief signs and the form goes to read only and the buttons disappear
I would receive one of the two errors shown below at different times when trying to sign the document.
I have attached the form. Please note, I intentionally removed our letterhead from the top of the form.

Also, in regards to the error message. The file was not in use by another application. I've tried renaming, saving in different locations, exit of adobe completely, etc.
