Highlighting PDFs

Hi!

When I try to highlight text in PDFs, sometimes it works well, (highlighting is the same as in a Word doc.- straight, right over the text, controllable. When I highlight other pdfs, the select tool selects below the text instead of on it and when I try to highlight with the highlight tool, it's big and blobby, instead of straight like highlighting in a Word doc. This seems to happen consistently with certain PDFs and consistently does not with others.

N.T.

This is related to how the text in the file was created. The latter is most likely the result of using non-standard fonts, and/or of an OCR process (ie, converting scanned pages into "real" text). There's nothing you can do about it using Reader, I'm afraid, unless you use a different tool to highlight your text, like the Square tool.

Thank you. What is the square tool?
