Highlighting problem

Community Beginner ,
May 27, 2018 May 27, 2018

Hi guys,

I have a problem with highlighting some pdf files. When i want to highlight a specific section or sentence, the entire paragraph gets highlighted. It is like they are connected with each other and i can't manage to highlight just the section i want.

Is there any solution for this ? I am using the excellent app Drawboard.

Thanks

This is not a Adobe product.

The problem is with the pdf file and not the app.

I know that the app is not "adobe product" !

How did you create the file? Acrobat Reader can't create PDF files.

Do we understand that you created the PDF using Microsoft Drawboard and now the commenting highlighter tool does not work correctly in Adobe Acrobat Reader?

When you open the PDF using Microsoft Drawboard, what happens when you use their commenting tools?

Adobe gave away the PDF technology to an ISO years ago and now many companies can produce PDFs. Not all of them are good. My suspicion is that your issue has to do with how the PDF was produced.

"PDF" is not an Adobe product. Adobe Acrobat and the free Adobe Acrobat Reader are Adobe products.

Please define your issue a little better. Thanks!

I didn't create the file, it is a lectures notes file. Probably was created by typing a word file and then soing the "save as pdf"option.

never mind, thanks for all anyways.

You might download the free Adobe Acrobat Reader, then, and see if that works better than using Microsoft Drawboard. Then you'll know if it's the PDF or the viewer.

In Adobe Acrobat Reader, you can go to File > Properties to see how the file was made. You might be able to find this information in Microsoft Drawboard as well.

And Microsoft may have a forum to help you with the Drawboard issue of highlighting the entire paragraph when you use their software.
