How do I change the permanent file setting to NOT open PDF in full screen?

I am using Adobe Acrobat Reader DC vs 18.009.20050

I have a large number of PDF files which I had converted to PDFs from OpenOffice doc files.  When I converted them with OO, I specified that the converted PDFs should open in Full Screen Mode (FSM).  Everything had been working fine.  Apparently, however, 1 of the Adobe upgrades introduced a prompt so that when I open them now, I am warned that the file is attempting to open in FSM.  I can answer yes or no to allow that.  I am also given a checkbox to make my choice permanent for the particular file I am opening.  My desktop is running Windows 7.  The only problem there is that in order to get back to where I was and how I want things, I have to open each file and choose yes and permanent (over 500 files - not the end of the world, I wouldn't mind taking the time to do it).  But I don't use the files on my desktop so that does me no good.  I use them and need them the way they were on my laptop.  It is running Windows 10 and I need to know how to fix the following problem.  When I open the PDF, I answer yes to allow FSM.  If I don't make the choice permanent, my only problem is that I am faced with that prompt every time I open the file.  But every time I open it, I want it in FSM so I want to make the choice permanent, as prompted and allowed.  But if I do, then any attempt to open it again produces a blank black screen and locks up the laptop (I use Ctrl/Alt/Del to get to task manager and close the Adobe application to get back to normal).  Is there a fix for this?

In the preferences of Acrobat Reader disable the entry "Alert when document requests full screen".

Ok, that solved the issue of being prompted every time I open one of my PDFs which I intend to open full screen automatically.  But the laptop still has the larger problem.  Whether I allow the prompt and, in response, select yes to allow full screen and also check the box to make that choice permanent  -  OR  -  whether I change the preference setting to remove the alert warning when I open the file so that it goes directly to full screen when opened, I have the black screen lockup problem.

If I allow the prompt and select yes, the file will open to full screen properly.  If I don't check the box to make the choice permanent, it will do this every time.  That is, it will prompt me, and then when I answer yes, it will open properly in full screen.  As long as I don't check the box to make that choice permanent, everything works fine.  But I DO want to make the choice permanent.  And if I check the box to do so, it will open full screen properly that 1 time only.  Every time after that, it opens to a black screen and locks up the laptop..

If I change the preference setting to remove the prompt, the files never open properly.  Whenever I open one, it goes directly to the black screen lockup.

Again, all of this works properly for all conditions on my desktop running Windows 7.  The problem is only on the laptop running Windows 10.

The question is why do these files attempt to enter FSM in the first place. It's most likely a setting in OpenOffice that causes them to do so. You should look for it there and disable it.
