How do I find out when a PDF doc was originally created there is nothing under File/Properties

Hi David,

Generally, it is shown under document properties window in Acrobat (As shown in the following snapshot).

However, if the sender/Author has removed metadata from the pdf then there are chances that original file creation date is not displayed.

Hi do you know a company that could tell when a PDF was originally created? I use the steps that were mentioned above and it tells me the date that I downloaded it

Your genuine need does not make it technically possible. If you read this thread it should make it clear that even if you have a date in a file, it is worthless for proof of anything at all.

    Hi David,

    The sender/Author of the pdf has removed the metadata of this pdf as it is shown by default, the original creation date of this document cannot be verified.

      This is a legal case against a defendant who will not cooperate.  She has a date in there of April 7 2015 but I suspect it was created yesterday 8/20/2015
