How do I get back the +/- zoom buttons on top menu bar

For some reason these went missing. I want them back!
Under View > show/hide > toolbar times > show select and zoom tools ... I see different zoom options, marquee, dynamic, etc. but I don't see the plus/minus zoom +/- button option?

Right-click the toolbar and select "Show Select & Zoom Tools" and you'll find both buttons there.

I tried what you suggested, but the plus (+) and minus (-) tools are not in the list:
I did add the Pan and Zoom button; when you click on it, brings up this menu box, below, but that's an extra step and it's not really the same as having the plus/minus buttons in the menu bar.
As far as I can tell Adobe folks are screwing with us again - they want to change stuff just for the sake of change (or in order to justify their jobs) and they either muck things up or change things that we don't want changed.

If you have the new Acrobat UI, disable it, via the Menu button at the top-left corner.

I already disabled the new UI, which is just another example of Adobe with us. Two strikes try67.

I beg your pardon? I'm trying to help you, in case you didn't realize. Good luck with your problem.

Sorry, but none of your advice has helped fix the problem. I apologize for dissing you, but I'm tired of being [abuse removed by moderator] Adobe with their unwanted and not very helpful 'updates'. The +/- zoom buttons were simple and they worked exactly as I and others want them to, but apparently that's not good enough for the programmers at Adobe.

I don't work for Adobe, in case you didn't realize. I was trying to help a fellow user, but I guess that's not appreciated by you, so I won't try it again.

In case you didn't reallize it, I apologized for dissing you. And while I may appreciate what you tried to do it did nt help at all. But if none of that matters to you ....

How to get old Adobe Acrobat UI (user interface) back, including zoom tools (on a mac but assume will be the same for windows). You have to disable the new interface over "View" then "Disable new Adobe". In my screenshot it's already disabled hence the "Enable new Arcobat" in the screen shot.

Did you persevere? I'm in this anti-+/- land and it sucks, have followed same directions you were given to no avail...

Hi 5643,
Thank you for reaching out.
In the new Acrobat experience, the zoom option is available in the right-hand pane. There is no option to move it to the top menu bar. However, you may try "Disable new Acrobat" to move to the old version. In Acrobat, go to Menu > Disable new Acrobat.
We understand there is a change in the experience. However, once you get familiar with the new Adobe Acrobat, its simplified interface will help you quickly discover tools and complete your PDF tasks efficiently. For detailed information on the new experience, please refer to the following help document: https://adobe.ly/3WEBmr1.
Thanks,
Meenakshi

What was a a one clik important feature became a multi click annoyance.
And the 'new experience' is also annoying (that's why you left the possibility to get the old one).

Hi David, I was going through this myself! Just went through a computer upgrade and could see on my old computer having the +/- zoom level at the top in the toolbar, but couldn't get it to come back for the life of me, even in the old version of Adobe set. Then I noticed that the tool bar with the +/- zoom appeared at the bottom of the PDF when I first opened a doc and hovered the mouse towards the bottom. I then noticed an icon on that toolbar to the far right that had an icon of a toolbar with an up arrow over it and when I clicked, it went back to the top toolbar!! Hope this helps you get it back. Good luck!

Directly after the zoom feature left the top ribbon, it did appear, for quite some time (months?), on the bottom if you hovered. Now, alas, at least in both the version I use at work, (w/ whatever bells and whistles would come with a professional version), as well as my free home version, it's along the right side, without hovering, and without this feature you kindly shared a screen shot of. These "minor" irritations add up to Full On Frustration.

Thank you - Looks like the tool bar went into float mode for some reason. Your instructions were dead on. Best,

Thank you thank you thank you for discovering this! My Adobe did the update over the weekend and I've been going CRAZY without the +/- signs. Problem resolved now.

Your answer is not what we are looking for. We want the + / - back. I personally want the ability to change the size myselft. Change from 100 % to 600% if I want. You removed that as well. Try using your product before you deem something uneccessary.

jared_4731's response resolved this for me. I now have the +/- buttons and the percentage selection option as well.

i used to be able to have the Zoom Percentage box in my ribbon and in the new Adobe its not there. Nor am I able to add this feature to my ribbon as before. Is there an option for this I am missing? We used to be able to put whatever into our ribbon.

This worked for me - go almost to the bottom of a page and hover. The zoom tool bar will pop up. Click the far right icon (little square with an up arrow) and the toolbar will move up to the main toolbar.
