Question

How do I get the form documents (Hawaii State tax form N 109 to fill in the proper size numbers so that I can use the form.?

I  have been trying for more than 7 days to fill in form N-109 from Hawaii. How do I get it to work.  The numbers are too small and many are in the cents column.  I went to Hawaii State Tax office and they said the problem is you have to update the Adobe Acrobat reader.  They say it only needs updating and the program.  Their program works just fine.  I update and nothing happens.  I note on sysInfo.txt page 5 and other places under Windows detail it says Tablet PC and I have a stand alone Lenovo computer, that properly functions with the fill in function.

I go to hawaii.gov tax/form and find Form N11.  I then download.  The form is there to fill in.  I put numbers.  Usually with  forms when you fill in the numbers are fairly large with the big numbers in the dollar column and the cents in the cents column.  With the current program the numbers are ridiculously small  and in the cents column is 55.00 rather than just .00.

Can you help me out here? I'm looking at the form and I can see where you add the dollar amount but I'm not finding anywhere to add "cents".

I can add dollars and cents

But when I click out, it rounds the number and removes the cents.

I've got the form with the filename n11_f.pdf. Is that the same file that you are looking at? If so, can you please give me a sample of what you are seeing by using a screen capture like I have above? Thanks.

    @~graffiti ,

In your screenshot, partially cut off in the upper right, note that it says, "ROUND TO THE NEAREST DOLLAR."

I live in Virginia and use an accountant. I fill out her forms with a pencil and put in cents and she also rounds them off when she fills out my tax forms.

If the form says round to the nearest dollar, peterhawaii1, there won't be a space for cents. Is that your question, and do you have another?

This is the Adobe Acrobat Reader DC and it is not letting me properly fill in Hawaii form N109?.

What do I do to be able to fill in the Form N 109.

The Hawaii State tax office says their system is working and WILL NOT CONFIRM THEY USE  Adobe Acrobat DC.  They are very poor communicators and would never really say what they use when I asked.  And only reiterated UPDATE.  UPDATE.  UPDATE SAYS UPDATE BUT SYSTEM APPEARS TO MALFUNCTION AND  ALWAYS SAYS UPSATED.

What is the forum for?  Is it to help?  I have absolutely no way to ask technical questions to Adobe and now the Forum is not for technical questions.  How many people think the moderator is correct in telling  me please do not post technical questions.

The "moderator" just moved your question to the proper forum. You initially posted in a forum for off-topic banter. Now you are in the proper forum. Did you see the questions I've asked? I'm trying to help you but you need to answer the questions.
