How do I retrieve a lost fillable fields document?

New Here ,
Jan 31, 2019 Jan 31, 2019

I completed a tax form online using Adobe Acrobat DC. I was successful in saving the document to my hard drive. However, when I attempted to sign electronically, and reopened the document, the tax form no longer included the text entered. Is there anyway to retrieve the previous completed tax form?

Thanks!

Not possible when you have saved the empty form.

Hi JR,

Does it show up in Recents?

Did you do a Save as and pay attention to where you saved it? If yes, look there. If not, it may have gone into a temporary folder.

If you have to redo it: Save as > give it a name > Close > Reopen > then start to fill it out.

Before opening the file go To Edit - Preferences - JavaScript and tick off the "Enable JavaScript" box. Then open the file.

Do you see the data, then? If not, then it's gone for good, I'm afraid.
