How do I update Acrobat Reader on my PC

Question

I renew my account with Adobe annually but for some reason I'm unable to open a pdf that is Version 8. My version is 2023.003.20244| 64 bit. Shouldn't we automatically received updated versions with our paid accounts? Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions you can provide.

Looking at the description above, we assume you are receiving an error upon opening a pdf file, " To view this file, you need Acrobat/Reader version 8 or higher...."

If you are getting this message while viewing a pdf in a browser, you are most likely trying to open a Dynamic XFA (XML Form Architecture) PDF. To view such pdf documents, we recommend you to download the file locally and open it either in Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat.
