How modify a pdf document?

I need to change some text on a pdf document sent to me. How do I do this? It is my first time using it.

You can use Adobe Acrobat to modify an existing PDF. With Adobe Acrobat Reader you can't edit PDFs at all, just view them. However, editing with Acrobat won't be as simple as in a word processor or text editor since the PDF format was never designed to be editable. Under circumstances you won't be able to edit specific parts. It depends on the individual PDF.
