Hello all,

With the new version of adobe reader DC I just can't seem to find how to change the default view of the zoom percentage. My documents open random from 121% tot 211% and so on.

Any help is much appreciated thanks

Hi Catalin

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble. As described, you want to change the default view of the zoom percentage as the documents open random from 121% tot 211% and so on.

The initial view setting of the documents is set by the creator/author of the PDF files. However you may try the following preference setting and see if that works for you.

Go to Edit (Win), Adobe Acrobat (Mac) > Preferences > Page Display > Under Page layout select 'Single page continuous' and under Zoom select the desired zoom percentage level and click OK and reboot the application

Hope this will help

Regards

Amal

Since the default opening percentage is set by the creator of the document, you can change this by selecting the configuration you want for a particular document. Example, my PDF opens to 57%, and single page viewing. After opening the PDF, I right clicked in the tool bar, hovered my mouse over "Show Page Display Tools" and select "Fit to Width Scrolling". The page will change to 132%. Select "File" - "Save as" - and select the folder the original file is located in. This will save the file with the new configuration and open that way everytime. Just change the way you want to view your document and 'save as'. Caveot, This will have to be done on each individual PDF to save it. A lot of work, but quick once you get used to it. I hope this helps.
