Good day,

This maybe an easy question to answer, but I could not find it.  How do copy and paste different lines of text from a pdf in acrobat reader?  I do not want to copy the whole document nor is the text adjacent to each other.  The information to copy is scattered throughout the document.

As mentioned, this is not possible using the normal Text Selection tool. However, if you select the text using something like the Highlight tool a script can be used later on to extract the underlying texts and export them as a single block, which you could then copy to Word, for example.

Ok.  Is there a way to just highlight different parts like you would in excel?

Only with the Highlight commenting tool.

One selection at a time. There is no option to make a multi-part selection.
