How to count pdf files in 1 pdf portfolio

Our user has a portfolio (.pdf) which has many pdf files, and we want to know if there is a way to count those pdf files.

Are you asking how to determine how many documents are included in the portfolio? They are listed on the left side when you open the document. You can count down through the list.
