Hello edk19424448

As per the description above, you want to open JPEG photos in Adobe Reader, Is that correct?

Adobe Reader can only open PDF files. You can open a JPG file in a browser like Chrome, or Firefox, or Safari. As per the description above, it seems that your system has set Adobe Reader as the default application to open that type of file. You can reset the file associations to use other application to open JPG files.

As mentioned above, Adobe Reader cannot open JPG files.

Feel free to update this discussion in case you need further assistance.

Regards,

Anand Sri.

Thx for getting back; two issues 1) Microsoft won’t let me set Chome as my default browser; the easiest thing they allow you to do is delete Chrome. Evidently, Chome needs to be my browser and this will probably allow all my jpg photos to open automatically like they used to when I was on Window’s XP;

Well, we used to open all our jpgs just by clicking; same with printing. Opening in photoshop is an added and slower process prior to printing or using in another app like powerpoint or corel.

Do you have Windows 10? If so, it comes with a "photo viewer" that will open .jpg files (you can even do a little editing). You'll need to set file associations for .jpg files to open with that.

It's not a so tough task, you can do it by following the simple step, first, you have to go file menu then open,  change the file format to "All files (.)" and then open the jpg file. That's okay, this so simple.

Acrobat Reader can't open JPEG files today, nor in 2018. Why do you suggest that choosing "all files" will solve the problem?
