How to print an embedded address to an envelope from with Reader or Acrobat

We recently migrated from Oracle to Salesforce. Our customer letters now download from Salesforce as PDF files with one complete letter per page. Each file contains a variable number of letters, e.g. anywhere from 4 to 10. Again, there is one letter per page containing a date, address block, the body of the letter, and a signature block. In Oracle we could generate a text data file and do a Word merge. That is not currently implemented in our new Salesforce environment. As such, what I have to do is copy and paste the address block from each letter into Word, and then I can print the address block to an envelope from Word. Is there any way to print just the embedded address block to an envelope from within Adobe Reader or Acrobat? Thanks.

Theres not way to automatically extract particular portions of a PDF into Word. You'll need an additional OCR software that has a hotfolder function and zone recognition (e.g. ScannerVision).

It might be possible to extract this information using a script, but only if it's "real" text, ie if it can be selected with the mouse and copied. If not, then it's just an image and can't be extracted to Excel in a useful way.

Hi There,
Thanks for reporting the same here.
For the same you'll need to use JS for all the file(s) to extract the Address.
