How to remove security password?

Please add that it is necessary to download and install Acrobat DC, pay the monthly fee or take the 7 day free trial, and then use it. There does not seem to be a way to remove password without this step.

I am sorry for any trouble you had with Adobe. Securing PDFs with the password can be achieved by Acrobat Pro DC which is a paid version and the feature is not available in the freeware Adobe Reader.

Adobe Reader is a freeware application and is used for viewing, printing, signing, sharing, and annotating PDFs. For detailed information, you may refer to the help article Adobe Acrobat Reader DC FAQs

It's trued that if you have added the security settings in a PDF, you will be able to remove it, or if you have the password added as a security shared by the owner/author of the PDF, you may change the security settings. And apart from this, there isn't any other option available to remove the password added as security.
