The error you're encountering during the Adobe Acrobat 11 PRO upgrade process is related to the Adobe ARM (Adobe Application Resource Monitor) component. It seems that the upgrade process is unable to find a valid preference in the registry.

Here are a few steps you can try to resolve the issue:

Run the Adobe Cleaner Tool:

  • Download and run the Adobe Cleaner Tool to completely remove any traces of the existing Adobe Acrobat installation.
  • You can find the Adobe Cleaner Tool on the official Adobe website. Make sure to follow the instructions provided by Adobe for using the tool.

Check Registry Settings:

  • Manually check the registry settings related to Adobe Acrobat to ensure that there are no inconsistencies. Be cautious when making changes to the registry, as it's a critical part of the system.
  • Open the Registry Editor by pressing Win + R, typing regedit, and pressing Enter.
  • Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\11.0\Installer.
  • Check for a key named Updater, and make sure its value is set to 1. If it doesn't exist, you may need to create it.

Reinstall Adobe Acrobat:

  • After running the Adobe Cleaner Tool and checking the registry, reinstall Adobe Acrobat XI Pro.
  • Use the original installer or download it from the official Adobe website.

Run the Installer as Administrator:

  • Right-click on the Adobe Acrobat installer and select "Run as administrator" to ensure that the installation has the necessary permissions.

Check for Windows Updates:

  • Ensure that your Windows operating system is up to date. Some issues with software installations can be resolved by installing the latest Windows updates.

Contact Adobe Support:

  • If the issue persists, consider reaching out to Adobe Support for assistance. They may have specific troubleshooting steps or solutions for the error code you're encountering.

Before making changes to the registry or reinstalling software, it's advisable to back up your important data and create a system restore point to have a fallback option in case anything goes wrong during the troubleshooting process.

Suman,

Acrobat 11 has been out of support for more than a few years, but we can try to help.

Error 111200 indicates that Updater could not initialise a product for update. But your log also shows "[2023-12-30 18:38:14:0370] New file object: AcrobatUpd11023.msp", which means that Updater has found a product and initialized an update for this product.

Here is what you will need to do to help us to investigate further-

Enable Updater verbose logging by setting iLogLevel DWORD Registry value to 1 in the Registry path-

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Adobe\Adobe ARM\1.0\ARM

Check for Updates from Acrobat Help menu.

Collect and send me (do not post here, it is large file) AdobeARM.log file from User Temp folder. You can also upload this file somewhere and provide a link.

I would hesitate to completely uninstall a product that is out of support. You might have issues installing it again.
