I am unable to install Adobe Acrobat DC, nor am I being able to update Adobe Reader XI.

I get this error message whenever I try to update it." The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000022). Click OK to close application." However, the application would enable me to open PDF files. I have tried downloading it from multiple browsers but after the download of the setup file, I am not being able to run the application setup. I get a pop up for the permission to make changes,even after clicking on YES nothing happens. Please help, I am not getting any error message for the second issue only the Adobe Reader Manager goes blank. I need Adobe Reader DC to view certain documents.

Error message whenever I restart my system which does not enable me to update the existing Adobe Reader XI.

Window when I am trying to run the installation setup, did it multiple times.

I have also downloaded the Acrobat Cleaner Application and run it to clean the previous version, however it did not clean the older version though it showed me that the clean up was successful. Please assist me with this issue.

As per the issue description mentioned above, you are facing issue when trying to install acrobat reader dc on the machine, is that correct?

Try downloading installer for reader from the following link and check if that works:

However I have solved my problem. It was necessary to uninstall the old Reader and then download the new Reader DC.
