I am filling in a document which states it must be completed through Adobe reader Acrobat. I can type and fill in the required sections however when it comes to signing it in seveal required places it says that the document doesnt support this and that it is an XFA Form..... The document is from a governemnt website and is required for a visa application and must be signed. Any help would be great.

Hello,

I hope you're doing well.

Please try the following suggestions and let us know how it goes:

Check Document Permissions:

  • Open the PDF and go to File > Properties > Security.
  • Ensure that signing is allowed. If not, you may need the document's permission password to change this setting.

Use the Correct Tool:

  • If the document has a signature field, use the Certificates tool instead of Fill & Sign. See this article for more information: https://adobe.ly/43eCsP6
  • Go to Tools > Certificates > Digitally Sign and follow the prompts to add your signature.

I hope this helps.

Thanks,

Anand Sri.
