  1. Had to reinstall OS in my PC, windows 10 (same as I had before "the crash").
  2. Then had to reinstall all 3rd party apps, including Adobe Acrobat Pro XI, which I pay for and use frequently.
  3. Now, this "Adobe Reader DC Pro" pop up advertisement comes up on my screen EVERY TIME I LOAD A PDF! What the hell?? I uninstalled the adobe reader that came with the OS. This thing STILL pops up all the freakin' time.
  4. It says I am on a trial version and I can continue trial version or get license.
  5. I DON'T WANT IT - HOW DO I STOP IT FROM POPPING UP EVERY DAMN TIME I LOAD A PDF?
  6. Please?

It was telling you this because you downloaded the trial of Acrobat XI, but did not license it. So it assumed you just wanted a trial. Now, you can no longer buy Acrobat XI, so it it telling you that, at the end of the trial what you will buy will be Acrobat DC.

To be clear, you are getting this because your Acrobat XI is not licensed. It isn't an attempt to force you to upgrade, you must license what you already own. By "license" I mean you must enter your serial number. I assume you have one. (Don't post it!!)

Not true – I am paying for Acrobat Pro XI. I have a two year subscription (in fact it’s coming up). I gather that Acrobat DC is a different product.

No, don't ignore it! After 30 days Acrobat XI will STOP WORKING. You'll still have the advert. License it now...

The important thing is not the popup. Forget the advert  The important thing is that it's a trial. You must enter your license. Currently it's just a free trial. The trial will end and it will stop working.

Thanks – I am hoping that’s the case. Hopefully 30 days… I think it’s rotten of Adobe to force this on users.
