I NEED HELP: Mac OSX with Chrome Acrobat Reader Not Working

New Here ,

Hi,

I hope one of you can help.

I recently had to delete all Chrome extensions to get the browser stable. Since re-installing the Acrobat Reader extension, it's not working any longer.

I've spent over 30 minutes trying to get this to work, visiting Adobe sites, others third party sites, looking in Forums, I've looked everywhere and already read a lot and can't get the solution to this.

When I try opening a PDF page from my bank I get this message:

The document you are trying to load requires Adobe Reader 8 or higher. You may not have the Adobe Reader installed or your viewing environment may not be properly configured to use Adobe Reader. For information on how to install Adobe Reader and configure your viewing environment please see http://www.adobe.com/go/pdf_forms_configure.

What do you suggest I try next, please?

Thank you.

Dan

Hi Bernd,

Thanks for this.

This doesn't seem to be a PDF that can be downloaded, it's like a page that can only be displayed with Adobe reader?

Hi Bernd,

Thank you so much for your time on this. This is the best advice I've had so far.

I tried this and all it did was download one page with this written on it:

The document you are trying to load requires Adobe Reader 8 or higher. You may not have the Adobe Reader installed or your viewing environment may not be properly configured to use Adobe Reader. For information on how to install Adobe Reader and configure your viewing environment please see http:// . . .

If you see here, the second link on the left is the document that used to open as a PDF in the window:

https://www.ocbc.com/personal-banking/help-and-support#bankingforms

What else can I try?
